The New York Giants hosted Kayvon Thibodeaux, Sauce Gardner, and Evan Neal on top-30 pre-NFL Draft visits, according to sources
The New York Giants hosted three of the top prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft class for top-30 visits Monday into Tuesday, league sources tell FanSided.
According to sources, Oregon EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux, Cincinnati cornerback Sauce Gardner, and Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal were in East Rutherford visiting the Giants.
New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen previously scouted Thibodeaux at the Ducks’ pro day, and was in Cincinnati for Gardner’s pro day workout, as well.
All three prospects are projected to be top-10 picks in the NFL Draft later this month, and each would fill a glaring weakness on the New York Giants’ roster.
Thibodeaux is viewed as one of the top pass-rushers in this year’s class, after producing seven sacks and 35 tackles last season.
LIkewise, Gardner has been among the highest risers in this pre-draft process, viewed by some inside the league as potentially the top player at the position. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Gardner intercepted three passes, broke up four more, and produced a career-high 40 tackles for the Bearcats last season.
Meanwhile, Neal is viewed by some executives as the top offensive tackle, and there has even been speculation that he could be the Jacksonville Jaguars’ choice with the No. 1 overall pick.
TheNew York Giants, with new general manager Joe Schoen, are well-positioned to potentially land at least one of the top prospects in this year’s class, currently slated to pick No. 5 and No. 7 overall.
