Greg Dulcich, UCLA:

The top two tight ends in this year’s draft class are both McBride and Likely, after these two, there is a notable drop-off.

However, Greg Dulcich is still a very solid prospect with some upside. While he is certainly not the best blocking prospect, gaining a run-blocking grade of 52.9 per, PFF. He still has some good upside as a receiving threat.

In 12 games played this season, Greg Dulcich caught 42 passes for 725 yards and five touchdowns. While these numbers are not nearly as intriguing as Isaiah Likely or Trey McBride, they are still very solid.

However, what may be the most interesting thing about Dulcich is his determination to get better.

Starting off as a walk-on at UCLA, Dulcich has come a very long way since his freshman season, and this has been due to all the work he has put in. Whether it be the multiple times he has stated that he wants to be a better blocker or the 40 pounds of “good weight” and muscle he put on during his time at UCLA.

If Dulcich is as determined to improve as he seems, there is a very good chance that he develops into a quality TE in the NFL.

As for his fit on the NY Giants, it would likely take a couple of years for Dulcich to develop, meaning he would likely play a minimal role for the first couple of seasons of his career.

However, if he develops like I believe he could, he has great upside to be a solid TE. If I had to compare him to a player in the NFL currently it would be Dawson Knox.

Similar to Greg Dulcich, Dawson Knox was also a walk-on at his college (Ole Miss) and it took Knox about 2 years to become a full-time starter and be the player he is today. If he has a career projection similar to Dawson Knox, Greg Dulcich could be a deadly weapon for the NY Giants at some point.
