New York Giants host NFL Draft’s top running back for top-30 visit
The New York Giants continue to kick the tires on some of the NFL Draft’s top running back prospects, hosting Iowa State’s Breece Hall for a visit
The New York Giants continue to do due diligence on some of the top running backs available in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Tuesday, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Giants hosted arguably the premier running back in this year’s class, Iowa State’s Breece Hall for a top-30 visit.

Hall, 5-foot-11 and 217 pounds, averaged 5.8 yards per carry for the Cyclones last season and scored 20 touchdowns. Pro Football Focus gave Hall an 86 overall grade last season.
A versatile playmaker, Hall also added a career-high 310 receiving yards.
The ability to make plays after the catch and as a viable option in the passing game might make Hall an ideal fit for new New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll‘s scheme.
As FanSided previously reported, the New York Giants have already hosted Georgia running back James Cook on a top-30 pre-draft visit, earlier this month.
If the New York Giants are aiming to add an insurance policy on Saquon Barkley suffering another significant injury, or looking ahead to a future without Barkley in the backfield beyond 2022, it would make sense for GM Joe Schoen to target a younger, cheaper option at running back during this draft.
