New York Giants’ cons to drafting Kyle Hamilton

In terms of improving the talent on the New York Giants’ roster, there are no cons, Hamilton would change the Giants’ defense for the better.

However, the issue is that this selection would leave a glaring hole on the offensive line. Missing out on players like Tyler Linderbaum and Evan Neal would cause issues for the offense next season.

New York has dealt with offensive line issues for the better half of the past decade now, and the opportunity to get two elite linemen is tough to squander, even with Hamilton on the board.

The talent and potential of Hamilton are not in question, but the Giants’ needs at the offensive line may be more pressing. Being able to have the option of picking two elite players in the top ten is a great problem to have, but the Giants need to make the right call.

New York could take one of the linemen with pick seven, and take Hamilton at five and get the best of both worlds, but the Giants may be okay with Xavier Mckinney and Julian Love as their duo for the future.
