NY Giants Day 3 Draft Target: Charlie Kolar, TE, Iowa State

Charlie Kolar, who helped lead Iowa State to their first appearance in the Big 12 championship game in 2020, offers exceptional college production for a late draft pick.

With 2,181 receiving years and 23 touchdowns in his four years at Iowa State, Kolar has a knack for making the big plays in the biggest moments. Kolar is 6-foot-6, 260 pounds, which is the perfect size for a modern-day NFL tight end. He can both run block and catch passes efficiently.

Kolar is similar in build to Dawson Knox of the Buffalo Bills, who new Giants coach Brian Daboll developed into a serious offseason weapon. With only Ricky Seals-Jones on the roster at tight end entering training camp, the Giants will add at least one, likely two, tight ends in the draft. Kolar would certainly be worth the risk of a later-round pick.
