NY Giants Day 3 Draft Target: Alec Lindstrom, C, Boston College

Lindstrom, a 6-foot-3, 293-pound center out of Boston College, would be the perfect 5th or 6th round draft pick for the Giants. PFF graded Lindstrom with an extraordinary 87.8 since the start of the 2020 season, the best among all power five centers, including likely top 20 pick in the 2022 draft, Iowa center, Tyler Linderbaum.

One of the things holding Lindstrom down, and making him a projected late-round pick, is his length and physicality. However, that did not stop Lindstrom in his college career, as he was one of just five players in Boston College history, to be named to multiple first-team All-ACC teams.

Lindstrom also knows what it takes to play in the NFL, as his brother Chris is a 2019 first-round draft pick and center for the Atlanta Falcons. Late in the draft teams are looking for players who have the traits to develop into a quality backup or starting-caliber player.  With so many question marks on the offensive line for the Giants, it would be smart to take a stab at Lindstrom.

Since the Giants seem to love Boston College guys, with owner John Mara and his brother Chris, senior vice president of player evaluation, both Boston College graduates, don’t be surprised if Lindstrom is wearing blue next fall.
