That’s it, ladies and gentlemen! The 2022 NFL Draft is officially in the books and wow, what an incredible weekend of draft picks, trades, and everything else in between. Once the NY Giants are done with draft weekend and a long list of undrafted free agents are signed to the team, the real work begins.
Coming off a 4-13 season, it’s a beautiful sight to see a new draft class ready to step right in and take care of business. Giants Nation is undoubtedly tired of all the losing over these past few years and well, here’s to hoping this new draft class brings better talent, memories, and more winning. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about in the grand scheme of things.
On paper, new general manager Joe Schoen immediately addressed the Giants’ pass rush, offensive line, defensive secondary, and added some new weapons on offense. 11 new players were officially drafted to the city that never sleeps, and hopefully, they all are a big part of the long-term success of the Giants.
What comes next are rookie minicamp, OTAs, training camp, preseason action, and before you know it, the regular season will be here. Hopefully, some of these players are starting material and key contributors for what should be a redemption season for the Giants. They need to be inspired to get at least get more than four wins with this new leadership regime and who knows what truly awaits in what will hopefully be a brighter future.
