The 2022 NFL Draft has come and gone, with 11 new players being added added to the NY Giants roster. While 262 players were selected overall in the draft, many college standouts didn’t hear their names called during the seven rounds, but landed with new teams as undrafted free agents.

While a large chunk of those guys will be cut, some players see long NFL careers after going undrafted. In this piece, we take a look at four UDFAs who have signed with the Giants and could potentially earn a spot on the roster.

4. Oklahoma TE/FB Jeremiah Hall

The theme of Joe Schoen’s first draft in New York was versatility. Almost all the prospects selected over the draft weekend had seen action at multiple positions in their collegiate careers, possessing the ability to help this team in more ways than one. One UDFA who certainly fits the bill is tight end/fullback Jeremiah Hall from Oklahoma.

Hall played all over the Sooner offense, seeing snaps at H-back, running back, tight end and even some out of the slot. As a receiver he saw a career-high 34 receptions in 2021, resulting in four touchdowns. He added another score on the ground.

While he can assist where needed as a running back, he is very slow for the position, running a 4.96 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. With Hall’s ability to line up at various positions, however, he still offers value in this Giants offense, which will look to succeed off creativity in 2022.

Fullback Elijah Penny, an UDFA from 2016, left the team ahead of 2022 after spending the past four seasons in East Rutherford. While that leaves the position open, it is often not a position that teams commit significant draft capital toward. With Hall possessing the versatility to contribute to this team in more ways than just at fullback, he provides a great option for the Giants and it would not be a surprise to see him on the roster for Week 1.
