Madison Square Garden was rocking on Wednesday night, as the New York Rangers hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning for Game 1 of the Conference Finals. NY went on to win 6-2, and the fanbase is dreaming of a trip to the Stanley Cup. If the Rangers do advance, they’re going to need NY Giants head coach Brian Daboll on hand for each home game.

Daboll has been spotted at MSG several times throughout the playoffs and it really feels like he’s the team’s lucky charm. In Game 1 vs. Tampa Bay, Daboll was once again on hand, but this time he had a good friend right next to him: Giants general manager Joe Schoen. The two truly stole the show at MSG and the video of them firing up the crowd will surely make you smile.

Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen at the NY Rangers game was priceless

That’s how you energize a crowd. At the time of this clip, the Rangers were up 6-2 and everyone inside of MSG was loving what they were seeing. New York is in the middle of an unreal postseason run and it’s one that not a lot of people expected them to record. Virtually no one expected them to make it this far.

Now, the Rangers are looking like they’re in a prime position to get back to the Stanley Cup for the first time since 2014. This magical hot streak for the Rangers has inspired a city, and it’s of course doing the same for the Giants too. Daboll has voiced just how impressed he is with the team on how they’ve been able to keep on pushing.

The Giants are hoping to do the same, as the G-Men went 4-13 last year. It won’t be easy, but there’s hope that the Giants will be able to turn things around and make a splash in the NFC East this campaign. They can surely look to the Rangers as some serious motivation. They’ve got people believing that a championship could be making its way back to NYC.
