There’s most definitely some needed optimism in the offensive line room for the NY Giants, as the unit has been totally changed from last season. Two of the key additions no question are offensive guard Mark Glowinski and first-round pick and expected starting right tackle Evan Neal. Fans are pumped about these two.

Well, it looks like Glowinski himself is a big fan of Neal, as he’s been able to see what the former Alabama star is made of during OTAs. While it’s still a learning process for Neal and he’s certainly going to make some mistakes leading up to Week 1, Glowinski didn’t hold back in his assessment of the No. 7 overall pick.

NY Giants tackle Evan Neal is making a splash at OTAs

"“Just dominant,” Glowinski said of Neal. “As long as he gets his hands on guys, that’s the end of the story. So, just making sure that we put him in the right place, make sure that he is doing the right things. He has come along drastically every day, learning more and more.”"

If you’re a Giants fan, this is exactly what you want to be seeing about the young offensive lineman. With Andrew Thomas holding down the left tackle spot, the idea of him on one side and Neal at right tackle sure is great to think about. It’s obviously great news for quarterback Daniel Jones, as those two monsters will be ready to make sure no hands get on the signal-caller.

It’s important to keep in mind, however, that things are still early on in the process for Neal. As we’ve said before, there’s of course going to be some growing pains for him along the way. With that said, he’s got an incredible future ahead of him and the veterans on this team are taking him under their wing. That’s got to be a great feeling for a young player on a new squad.

From the moment Neal was taken with the No. 7 pick, he’s developed quite the long list of supporters in the NYC area. People can’t wait to see what he’ll be able to get done come Week 1 in Nashville against the Tennessee Titans. Those same people will wait to see if he’s going to live up to the hype, but Glowinski doesn’t appear to have any doubts that Neal will deliver in this case.
