While the recent NFL Drafts leading up to 2022 hadn’t quite gone according to plan for the NY Giants, there’s no question general manager Joe Schoen absolutely killed it with this spring’s event. The additions of Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal have people jacked up for the future, while Wan’Dale Robinson, Daniel Bellinger and others will be ready to make a splash.

When looking at the previous drafts, sure, there have been some major headaches. At the same time, there have also been some standouts who have turned out to be ballers. In a recent piece, Pro Football Focus listed the best value NFL Draft picks for each team in the league. The Giants pick shouldn’t come as a surprise: it’s Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr. listed as the NY Giants ‘best value’ draft pick

"“There aren’t many teams that have a worse track record after the first round in the PFF era than the Giants,” PFF’s Michael Renner wrote of Beckham and NY. “Linval Joseph, Weston Richburg and Landon Collins are really the only ones to write home about, and they were all still second-rounders. With that said, the receiver with the hottest start to his NFL career gets the nod. Before injuries struck, Beckham was the gold standard at the position with 4,122 yards in his first three seasons.”"

Few can argue that Beckham was nothing short of sensational while donning a Giants uniform. While his exit from the dream was filled with drama, Beckham won countless hearts over from the moment the Giants took him No. 12 overall in the 2014 draft. Beckham lived up to his first-round hype and more.

In ’14, Beckham caught 91 balls for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. He followed that up with 1,450 yards in 2015 and 1,367 yards in 2016. He made the Pro Bowl in all three seasons. The lone year with the Giants where Beckham didn’t post at least 1,000 yards was in 2017, when he was only able to appear in four games due to his season-ending ankle injury.

Beckham eventually made his way to Cleveland before joining the LA Rams, helping the team win the Super Bowl last winter. Despite OBJ not lasting as long as people were hoping for in East Rutherford, plenty of people still talk about his playing days with NY to this day. That won’t change soon. In his short time, he was a total force for the team.
