2. Tom Brady won’t be handing the ball off to Saquon Barkley

In another surprising twist, NY Giants running back Saquon Barkley has also been linked to several different teams in trade rumors this offseason. One of the most intriguing ones was no question a potential move to the NFC South to play with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This would really be something. Too bad for Brady, but it won’t go down.

This trade would have made a ton of sense for the Buccaneers, as Barkley is 100 percent healthy from his knee and ankle issues. Imagine the former Penn State star and No. 2 overall pick making plays for Tampa Bay. He’d be yet another star playmaker for the offense, which already features Brady, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and more.

However, the Giants trading Barkley would be a mistake of massive proportions. As we’ve said before, sending away Barkley would basically mean the Giants would be punting on the 2022 campaign. There’s no way Jones and Co. could put up big numbers without No. 26 out on the field. Sorry Mr. Brady, no Saquon for you.
