2. Week 17 vs. the Indianapolis Colts

The second toughest home game for the Giants in 2022 will be against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17. This game is also being played on New Years Day. The Giants don’t have the best of luck with scheduling times this season, as they also play games on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

The Colts have been somewhat semi-successful considering the team has been on the QB carousel since Andrew Luck retired. The team thought Carson Wentz would be the long-term answer at QB, but the former first-round pick was one and done with the organization. Now, Matt Ryan is ready to start for this team.

Ryan offers stability at the quarterback position which will benefit a team that right now is pretty loaded on both sides of the ball, with the biggest offensive weapon on the team being running back Jonathan Taylor, who at one point last season was looking like a potential MVP candidate. This will be a homecoming for Taylor, as he’s from south New Jersey.

Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is entering his third NFL season and is coming off of his first 1,000+ yard season. Pittman is an underated receiver in the NFL, but Indianapolis knows his importance to the team, and he’s someone who could have a big breakout year.

Indy has battled with Tennessee the past couple seasons for the AFC South crown, but 2022 could be the year that the Colts come out on top in the division. Indy are a team that could provide some upsets in the playoffs if they make it, and they are one of the toughest teams that the Giants will have to face at home in 2022.
