2. Week 2 preseason vs. the Cincinnati Bengals

New York’s second opponent will be the defending AFC Champs, the Cincinnati Bengals on Aug. 21. The second game could feature some starters getting reps, but it isn’t likely. Daniel Jones could potentially see some time if Taylor impresses in training camp, or the first preseason game and a QB battle is created. That would certainly be something that would excite fans, and it could potentially happen as some insiders believe Taylor could take over the starting job eventually.

If Taylor forces the Giants hand, then we could see the two showcased a lot in the second game to see which QB fits better in the new offense. If Taylor is getting a lot of reps, fans should pay close attention to how he runs the offense.

Outside of the QB battle, fans should still be looking at the new coaching regime, as the Bengals defense was stellar in the later parts of last season. The Bengals will most likely be resting their superstar QB Joe Burrow, so New York doesn’t have to worry about him. This gives the Giants a much better chance of winning, which is why fans should be confident again to see the G-Men come out on top.

Both head coaches for both teams are offensive minded, so the score could be very high. This would be fun to watch too, as all football fans love shootouts, and they could potentially see one. Fans should expect the score to be something around 28-24, Giants.
