1. Certain players stepping up and having a better offensive season

The offense as a whole was sub-par in 2021. Injuries and inconsistency all played factors in the team only having four wins. New York’s best players are going to need to step up and make a bigger impact in 2022.

In his first season as a Giant, Kenny Golladay did not play to the level that NY expected him to be at. Early in the season he was playing hurt and was not 100 percent. Then Jones missed the final 1.5 months of the season, and New York had Mike Glennon making the Giants look like a JV football team. The Giants would love to see Golladay have a year like he did in 2019, where he caught 11 touchdowns and posted 1,190 yards.

Big Blue is looking for a monster season from Saquon Barkley. He played in 13 of the 17 games last season, still battling ongoing injures and just trying to get back to his normal self. Barkley’s best game last season was vs the Saints, where he caught a passing touchdown, and scored the game-winning touchdown to give the Giants a win on the road. Saquon needs to have full confidence in his body and abilities to be the best version of himself. Giants fans certainly would love to have that be true in 2022.

Injuries plagued the Giants as a whole in 2021, so one would like to think that 2022 is going to be better. Though, you never really know with this team. An improvement from last season would be more than four wins, as close to a.500 record as possible, and Golladay catching at least one touchdown pass. Preferably from Jones, if that’s not too much to ask.
