4 undrafted free agents who will make a splash at NY Giants training camp
By Zak Musso
3. RB Jashaun Corbin
In his four seasons in college, the first two at Texas A&M and the final two at Florida State, Corbin recorded 320 rushes for 1,771 yards and 14 touchdowns, while catching 60 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns.
Corbin made a name for himself on Labor Day in 2021 when he rushed for 144 yards – which included an 89-yard touchdown run – in a heartbreaking overtime loss against then No. 9 Notre Dame. In an interview with NFL Network’s Good Morning Football before the 2022 NFL Draft, Corbin oozed confidence.
"“I’d say my running style … it’s angry, it’s physical, but it can also break big-time runs and make guys miss — and I’m just an explosive player, all-around player.”"
Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida are locked in at the first two running back positions but, with three running backs likely making the roster, Corbin needs to show the coaching staff that he is more versatile than Gary Brightwell and Antonio Williams. If Corbin brings that confidence to training camp, there’s no doubt he will stand out and earn a spot on the Giants roster.
