2. OL Nick Gates

Following a very gruesome leg injury in Week 2 of 2021, it was unsure as to if Nick Gates would ever play football again, let alone when he would make his return. However, the fact that he was placed on the PUP list instead of being released or retiring is a very promising sign.

Since being drafted in 2019, Gates has been arguably the team’s best offensive lineman outside of Andrew Thomas last season. This made for a very notable difference when Gates missed the season and was replaced with Billy Price. While not being completely terrible, Price still pretty bad for the most part.

While it is still not entirely known as to if Gates will be able to return this season, the NY Giants have done a good job finding his replacement after signing former Bills guard Jon Feliciano to play center.

The fight that Gates has made in his return to football is truly an inspirational story and we wish nothing but the best for him and his health. If he does get back on the field this year for the Giants, the people inside of MetLife Stadium will shower him with love.
