2. Shane Lemieux has the upper hand at the LG spot

One of the interesting position battles to keep an eye on is no doubt the one at left guard. After the Giants used a third-round pick on Joshua Ezeudu, many people out there thought he’d be able to jump right in and capture a starting spot. Shane Lemieux has something to say about things there, though.

When the first-team unit took the field, Lemieux was the one to trot out onto the gridiron and he looked good battling in the trenches. You don’t think the hoss has seen all of the talk about the rookie taking his job from him? He surely has, which of course has likely motivated him to come out with passion to start off camp.

Lemieux is a big part of this new-look offensive line. Luckily for him, he’s already developed the trust of star left tackle Andrew Thomas. When Thomas was asked about Lemieux and them working next to one another, the LT didn’t hesitate in saying they have a strong rapport. The two have chemistry, which will be massive for Jones and the rest of the offense.
