Giants should stay away from Jimmy Garoppolo

Earlier in the week, Giants fans indeed saw some big news on Garoppolo, as it was reported his agents have been in talks with the G-Men. People are ready to back Jones and see what he can do in 2022. Yes, Jones has struggled at times during camp, but fans want to see him get a fair shot at leading the team to success.

Keep in mind that this team also has Tyrod Taylor as Jones’ backup. Taylor has looked strong at times during camp as well. Would bringing in a guy like Garoppolo really be that much of an improvement? At this point, the Giants would have to give up some draft capital if they trade for Jimmy G.

If San Francisco releases Garoppolo, then the Giants could potentially land him on a cheap, one-year deal. From our chair, though, Schoen and Co. need to stay away from the 49er. If anything, they should come out and say that they won’t pursue Garoppolo and end this circus once and for all.
