The NY Giants are cruising in training camp, and the buzz is palpable. Several guys are looking sharp, no question. While training camp is fun for fans of all 32 franchises as hope and optimism reign, reality will unfortunately hit many franchises in early September. Shortly after reality sinks in, fans turn to mock drafts to recreate the optimism about their favorite teams.

While hope is still high and rightfully so in New York, it is never too early to start thinking about which players the organization could add come next spring. In this piece, we have our 2023 NFL Mock Draft for the Giants, with the squad using a first-rounder on a QB. But first…

Wake Forest WR A.T. Perry in the seventh round

You better believe the Giants will add to their wide receiving core next offseason. After signing Kenny Golladay and drafting Kadarius Toney, the Giants thought they had fixed their wide receiver woes, but the duo was plagued by injuries and combined for zero touchdowns in their first season.

A.T. Perry, a wide receiver out of Wake Forest, would be a solid fit to add depth to a shaky position group. Perry, a big body receiver like Golladay at 6-5, 206 pounds, was a menace to opposing defenses at Wake Forest a season ago.

Perry hauled in 71 balls for 1,293 yards and 15 touchdowns. Perry was an integral part of one of the best seasons in Wake Forest football history, and with veteran quarterback Sam Hartman returning this campaign, odds are Perry will put up some more big numbers and climb up draft boards.
