7. Darnay Holmes pick-six

There’s some mixed emotions for Giants fans on this play. On one hand, Jones made a tough read and forced the ball right into harms way. On the flip side, Darnay Holmes has been tearing up training camp, forcing four turnovers including three interceptions already.

This pick-six is incredible, as Holmes recognized the screen and jumped the route. With the Giants secondary being the weakest position group on the team, it is terrific to see Holmes finally locking down the slot corner position.

6. Dexter Lawrence blows up Jamil Douglas

Ever since he was drafted in the first round in 2019, it feels like we have been waiting for Dexter Lawrence to finally break out. If this play is any indication, Lawrence is ready to do just that.

Lawrence goes right at center Jamil Douglas and takes him for a ride backwards as if Douglas was the football sled in the defensive lineman’s sled drill. Lawrence breaking out this season would be a big boost for the Giants defense.
