The career of Odell Beckham Jr. with the NY Giants was one filled with plenty of headaches and controversy, there’s no denying that. However, the Big Blue faithful still have a ton of love for No. 13, and they’ll never forget some of the fantastic plays he recorded for the organization. That’s why the latest word on the star wide receiver is a bit uncomfortable to even think about.

Could the Dallas Cowboys end up signing OBJ? Please. No. Never.

That must be what folks in East Rutherford are thinking, as the thought of Beckham suiting up for the Cowboys and catching passes from Dak Prescott is enough to make one nauseous. The fact of the matter, though, is that Beckham is a free agent and he’s still looking for a new home. Will that new home be in the Arlington area?

Odell Beckham Jr. signing with the Cowboys actually makes sense

For the Cowboys, they have a need at wide receiver and Beckham would certainly be a splash signing Jerry Jones could make. Beckham, fresh off a Super Bowl win with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, is still recovering from his torn ACL, which he suffered with the Lombardi Trophy on the line against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dallas received some tough news recently too, with veteran wideout James Washington suffering a fractured foot. Because of this, he’s now set to miss the next 6-10 weeks. This is a wide receivers room that also is no longer featuring standout Amari Cooper, as he was traded to the Cleveland Browns this offseason.

CeeDee Lamb is set to enter the campaign as the No. 1 WR for the first time in his young career. While Lamb, a former first-round pick, has all the talent in the world, he can’t do everything by himself. The Cowboys need to bring in another wideout sooner than later to make some big-time plays for Prescott.

Beckham may be the guy to do just that. Imagine him at AT&T Field celebrating an impressive touchdown grab. That’s something Giants fans never want to see. Right now, the Beckham to Dallas talk is all just speculation, but it could turn out to have some legs as we get closer to the regular season. We’re hoping this doesn’t happen. Beckham is going to land in a new city eventually – let’s just hope it’s nowhere near Dallas.
