1. S Julian Love
Safety Julian Love is now one of the more veteran players in this Giants secondary. He enters his fourth season with this team and looks to have the biggest role of his career. He could very well end up being a starter alongside rising star Xavier McKinney.
Much of the big defensive plays of Giants training camp have come from other players within the secondary. At one point, Darnay Holmes was coming up with a turnover every day. McKinney made several big pass breakups and has pulled down several interceptions. Adoree’ Jackson has also proven to be ready to become the team’s No. 1 corner.
Even though Love hasn’t turned up a bunch of big plays, it doesn’t mean that he hasn’t still been solid. He has turned in several under-the-radar performances and the Giants coaching staff has praised him on multiple occasions.
Love has been utilized all over the defense and could prove to be a critical piece of this unit during the season. Love has been more of a silent presence throughout camp, but he has still been a solid player. He could be in turn for a big season this year.
