3. WR Wan’Dale Robinson

The selection of Wan’Dale Robinson in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft was a puzzling decision at first glance. The Giants WR unit had been a little underwhelming, but was not a position that needed to be addressed that early. Robinson was a pick that surprised many analysts, as they had him graded as a Day 3 player, and was labeled as being too small for the NFL due to his limited catch radius.

However, it appears that Robinson might have been one of the biggest sleepers in the draft, and Schoen and Daboll just had to pick him. With how much he has been involved in the first team offense in training camp, it looks like he is going to play a very big role for New York.

Robinson’s skillset is very similar to that of Kadarius Toney’s, which could suggest what the Giants are planning to run on the offense. So far a lot pre-snap motion has been used and a lot of track plays with Robinson receiving the ball in the backfield, which is something offensive coordinator Mike Kafka is bringing over from the Chiefs.

Robinson’s value has dramatically increased over the summer, with some thinking he could be the Giants most impactful receiver in 2022. If he stays healthy and injury free, which he has had no signs of showing so far, he could be in for a big year with Big Blue.
