There were several players who weren’t able to suit up for the NY Giants against the New England Patriots, but two guys in particular who fans continue to worry about would be Sterling Shepard and Azeez Ojulari. Both players haven’t been able to practice at training camp, with Shepard still recovering from his torn Achilles and Ojulari dealing with a hamstring issue.

Following the 23-21 win over the Patriots, head man Brian Daboll didn’t give an exact date for when the two will be able to suit up again, but he did say they’re working back. In addition, Daboll surely made it seem a return to the gridiron could be arriving sooner than people originally thought.

When will Sterling Shepard and Azeez Ojulari return to action?

"“I think they are getting closer,” Daboll said. “In terms of a time frame, I can’t give it to you right now, but they are getting closer. They’re improving day-to-day and hopefully they’ll be out there as soon as they can.”"

Those are some positive words from Daboll and they’re of course welcomed by the Big Blue faithful. This comes after Daboll didn’t give much of an update on Kadarius Toney, as the second-year wideout is dealing with an unknown injury. The hope there is that Toney isn’t dealing with anything serious and he can get back to practice as soon as possible as well.

We’re now less than one month away from the Week 1 opening showdown vs. the Tennessee Titans arriving. In order for the G-Men to have a serious chance of pulling off an upset against the AFC South opponents, they’ll need everyone close to 100 percent health to try and help get that victory recorded.

Ojulari was a beast last year with his eight sacks, setting the NY rookie record. Shepard is a fan favorite and his veteran leadership will be massive for the young wide receivers room from start to finish in 2022. Keep your fingers crossed that Ojulari and Shepard will return soon, Giants fans. These two are needed to help this squad try and turn things around this fall.
