2. WR Collin Johnson

Having depth at all positions in the NFL is key. It’s truly a next man up type of league. Injuries can happen so fast and the next player needs to be ready for his number to be called. Collin Johnson adds depth to the WR room. He was the most productive receiver for the Giants. He was out with the starting offense in the first quarter.

The fifth-round pick by Jacksonville in 2020 ended the game with seven catches for 82 yards, the most by far of any other Giants receiver. His 6-6 frame is bigger than any other receiver on the team. He provides a nice mismatch vs. a smaller corner, or a less athletic linebacker.

Johnson probably won’t start, but if he keeps up a productive preseason, the coaches will find a way to utilize his skillset in the regular season. Johnson may have fumbled the ball against New England, but all in all, it was a strong contest for him.
