3. The NY running back position is in a lot better shape than Dallas

For years we have debated whether Saquon Barkley or Ezekiel Elliott is the better running back. For much of 2018 and 2019, we debated whether Barkley or Zeke was the best running back in football. While both have fallen off significantly due to injuries and ineffectiveness, they are still very capable NFL running backs.

With that being said, the Giants are in much better shape at the running back position than the Cowboys for two key reasons. The main reason, Barkley this summer looks like his 2018 form, while Zeke is performing like senior citizen Zeke.

Barkley has made multiple acrobatic plays, while showing off his insane strength during training camp this summer, which has made many folks very excited in New York.

While Barkley may be shining, Zeke is letting balls go right through his hands à la Evan Engram,  while also getting blown up in the backfield.

Oh and don’t forget Zeke signed a six-year, $90 million contract before than 2019 season. That  contract is so large it is causing problems for the Cowboys cap space, which led to the franchise trading No. 1 receiver Amari Cooper to Cleveland in March. The Giants have yet to pay their star running back, and if they decide to learn from the Cowboys mistake, they may not.
