2. New offense thanks to Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka

The Giants rebuilt their coaching staff with a clear emphasis on offense. Head coach Brian Daboll helped the Buffalo Bills create one of the game’s best offensive units. New offensive coordinator Mike Kafka was able to do a similar thing with the Kansas City Chiefs when serving as quarterbacks coach. Kafka also had the luxury of working under an offensive mastermind in Andy Reid.

Now Daboll and Kafka have come together to create this new Giants offense. And it is already drastically different than what they deployed last season. This new offense will key in on several of the younger Giants playmakers. Toney and Robinson have both been spotted working out of the backfield on numerous occasions, and that’s just what we have seen.

Both the Chiefs and the Bills were notorious for running unorthodox plays. If this staff takes a play out of those team’s playbook, then the Giants could regularly run these sorts of offenses. This could also give Barkley the best chance to succeed. A new playbook could be suited towards what he is best at. If he can comfortably get the ball in his hands, and make his way into space, he could be a star.
