1. Azeez Ojulari

Azeez Ojulari turned heads in 2021 after an impressive rookie season in which he racked up 49 combined tackles, eight sacks, eight tackles for loss and 13 QB hits, breaking the *official NY Giants rookie sacks record.

Entering the second year of his career, it seems as if Ojulari is primed to have yet another fantastic season. Not only will he be paired with a potentially elite pass rusher in Kayvon Thibodeaux, he will also be playing under Martindale’s defensive scheme.

In addition to all of this, it seems as if Ojulari added a ton of muscle this offseason. According to him, he added around 10 pounds of muscle to his frame, which will really help him become a better all-around pass-rusher.

In similar fashion to all of the players previously mentioned on this list, everything is lining up for a breakout season from the 22 year old pass-rusher. If he can even just simply play at a similar season to which he did in 2021, the NY Giants defense will instantly improve. We expect him to really make noise and be better than he was in ’21, though.
