3. WR Sterling Shepard

On Wednesday, Sterling Shepard was activated from the physically unavailable to perform list (PUP). The longest tenured Giants player on the roster was injured last year in Week 15, suffering an Achilles tear. It is a surprise that Shepard is back so soon, but it is not known if he will be ready to play in Week 1.

Shepard has struggled to stay healthy throughout his NFL career, but when on the field, he is a key piece of the offense and a key target that quarterback Daniel Jones likes to throw to. The two need to keep building their chemistry.

Shepard was potentially going to be cut this offseason, but he agreed to a restructured contract to keep him in East Rutherford. Although the 29 year old’s Week 1 status is yet to be known, the hope is that Shepard will be ready to rock. He’ll be needed to help Jones have a big game against the Titans, and the rest of the campaign for that matter.
