1. WR Keelan Doss
While at first it seemed almost certain that Keelan Doss was not going to make the NY Giants roster, after a devastating injury to Collin Johnson, a new door has been opened for the 26 year old to make the team. However, it would take a huge preseason finale for this to have a chance at being the case.
In the two games Doss has played in thus far, he has not done a whole lot: only catching four passes for 40 yards and no TDs. Meaning that if he wants even a chance at making the NY Giants roster, he must show up this Sunday.
Making the NY Giants roster as a receiver is very tough, as the team already has at least four receivers who are not only just about guaranteed to play over you, but are definitely going to make the roster. Not to mention some of the players who could still make it over Doss, like Darius Slayton, David Sills and Alex Bachman.
So while it may be safe to say that Doss will not make the team, there is still a good chance that a monster game against the Jets could turn his luck around.
With Sterling Shepard, C.J Board, and potentially Slayton all not playing this week, there is a very good chance that we see Doss get extended reps against the Jets. If he manages to show out, then there is a very good chance he could at least make the practice squad. This will be something to watch.
