Offensive Line

Starters – Andrew Thomas, Devery Hamilton, Jon Feliciano, Mark Glowinski, Evan Neal
Backups – Josh Ezeudu, Ben Bredeson, Jack Anderson, Tyre Phillips

This position group is in much better shape than it was 24 hours ago. Thomas, Feliciano, Glowinski, and Neal are all quality NFL starters at their positions, giving Daniel Jones the best group of protectors he has had in his Giants tenure. However, with Shane Lemieux being placed on the IR yesterday, he will miss at least the first four games of the season, leaving the Giants’ left guard position rather unsettled. Hamilton is the most likely fill-in starter based of his camp performances, as well as injuries to Ezeudu and Bredeson.

Anderson, a 2021 seventh-round pick of the Bills, was claimed off waivers from Philadelphia Wednesday. Anderson can fit in seamlessly, as he is already connected to Brian Daboll, Joe Schoen, and offensive line coach Bobby Johnson from their time together in Buffalo. Anderson also gives the Giants positional versatility, as he saw snaps at left guard, right guard, and center a season ago. Phillips was claimed off waivers from Baltimore on Wednesday, where he spent the first two years of his career. Phillips played in 12 games while starting eight, and also has positional versatility, starting games at both the tackle and guard positions.

Tight End

Starter – Daniel Bellinger
Reserve – Tanner Hudson

This group still feels rather unsettled. While tight ends are not expected to have a huge receiving role in the Giants offense, it is integral that they are elite blockers. Daniel Bellinger, a 2022 fourth-round pick, played his college ball at San Diego State, a school that famously features a heavy run-first offense, which allowed Bellinger to display his elite blocking ability. Bellinger will get the start due to his blocking ability, but his backup — veteran Tanner Hudson, who won the 2021 Super Bowl with Tampa Bay — is the bigger receiving threat. This group could still use an upgrade, but it does not seem like that is going to happen. Undrafted rookie Austin Allen is on the practice squad, so he could be the additional help they need on Sundays.
