It’s officially game week and goodness does it feel great to say that. The New York Giants are ready to head to Nashville, with head coach Brian Daboll eyeing an upset win over the Tennessee Titans this weekend. In order for that to go down, several players on both sides of the ball will have to play to their fullest potential. On offense, one player in particular needs to excel…

Kadarius Toney. While there’s still concern about whether or not the former first-round pick is going to be fully healthy for this one, all signs are pointing to Toney getting himself ready for the contest. Yes, guys like Sterling Shepard and Kenny Golladay are going to need to record big plays for Daniel Jones, but Toney indeed will be the X-factor in this one.

NY Giants WR Kadarius Toney could have a monster game vs. Tennessee

Everyone knows Toney has a tremendous amount of potential. We all saw that in the showdown against the Cowboys last October, as he broke out for 10 receptions and 189 yards. That was the kind of performance that made people realize why the front office used a first-round pick on him and why Toney has such a bright future.

Unfortunately for Toney, injuries have placed a dark cloud over him early on in his career. He’s been in and out of practice this summer and Daboll being pretty vague when discussing his availability for Week 1 has provided plenty of concern for the fanbase. Despite that, we see Toney suiting up and we also see him having himself a big contest.

You could make the case that multiple guys are in desperate need of strong showings – including Saquon Barkley, Jones and Golladay – and Toney is no doubt high on the list. People have labeled him a first-round bust, a head case and so much more.

A strong performance against the Titans could really help set the tone for what could be a big 2022 for the former Florida Gator. We’ll predict him to finish with six receptions for 85 yards and a score. Fans would love to see that.
