What’s that we’re smelling in the air: oh yeah, it’s an upset. No one is giving the New York Giants much of a chance going up against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville in Week 1. The Titans have been listed as strong favorites, with countless experts out there expecting Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry to power the AFC South side to a victory.

Not so fast. While yes, there’s plenty of question marks surrounding the G-Men, this is still a team that features plenty of talent. Will they be able to stun the Titans on Sunday, Sept. 11? We think so, and here’s three reasons why.

3. Saquon Barkley will have a game to remember

There’s no one who is more ready for this moment than Saquon Barkley. All offseason, Barkley had to deal with constant hate and outside noise. There were trade rumors, including ones that had him going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and more. Instead of leaving town, Barkley has stayed put and he’s motivated to have a huge year.

Things will start with a monster game against the Titans. With the new offense being implemented by Brian Daboll and Mika Kafka, Barkley is going to have every opportunity to show he’s still an explosive player. Whether it be recording carries or receptions, Barkley is going to be ready to have his number called.

Barkley was fantastic this summer, reminding people several times of how special he can be. It’s going to be on No. 26 to live up to the hype and prove all of his doubters wrong. Look for Barkley to flirt with 150 total yards and a pair of touchdowns. Will that come in a Giants victory? You better believe it.
