1. TE Daniel Bellinger

Following a pretty solid preseason, it seems as if rookie Daniel Bellinger could be ready to take the role as the starting TE of the NY Giants. At least, we hope he is, as the NY Giants don’t have many other options on the roster.

As things currently stand on the NY Giants depth chart, the TEs behind Bellinger are Chris Myarick, who saw limited action last season, Tanner Hudson, who has caught five passes for 67 yards in three seasons, and Ricky Seals-Jones, who is currently on IR.

Bellinger showed a good amount of promise as both a blocker and pass catcher during the preseason. While he did have one bad drop that led to an interception, his hands were very good outside of that play.

The NY Giants have not had a good blocking TE in quite some time. If Bellinger is able to come out and at least showcase his ability as a blocker in Week 1, it will be a huge addition to the team. There is still a very good chance we see Bellinger used heavily as a pass catcher too, don’t get us wrong. In the preseason, Bellinger caught six passes for 52 yard, these numbers may not be eye-popping. However, Bellinger’s ability as a receiver is still something to be excited about.

Overall, we like Bellinger a lot as a prospect and think he has the potential to be the next great NY Giants TE. If he could burst onto the scene and show this potential off in Week 1 it would be a great way to start his career.
