Week 1 is done and dusted for the NY Giants and the fun yearly overreaction for teams from the season-opener has already begun across the board. Things are only going to keep moving in this direction too.

The Giants travelled to Tennessee to take on the Titans in a showdown the G-Men won after a missed field goal, kicking off the Brian Daboll era 1-0 after a 21-20 victory. The rest of the NFC East also won their Week 1 games, except the Cowboys, who lost on Sunday Night Football to the Tampa Buccaneers.

It was an interesting opening week for quarterback play, considering the difference in situations each starting QB in the NFC East is in. Let’s look at which QB came out on top in Week 1 – as we’ve got our NFC East QB power rankings.

4. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys

The only NFC East team to lose on Sunday…. it was a tough opening game for the Cowboys who looked like a shell of the Dallas team that had the No. 1 offense in the league last season. With key departures at wide receiver and on the offensive line, plus head coach Mike McCarthy on the hot seat in Dallas, it is an important year for America’s Team.

Unfortunately, Cowboys franchise quarterback Dan Prescott will be out a little while after leaving in the back-end of the game on Sunday with a fractured thumb. It is expected that he will not return until Week 8 at the earliest according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

It was not the best game Prescott has played and will likely be one he will want to forget. The 29-year-old finished the home opener 14-of-29, throwing for 134 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception.

The Cowboys failed to score a single touchdown, only putting up three points to the Buccaneers 19, which is a massive disappointment for where the Dallas offense was at last year. Because of everything mentioned above, we’ve got Prescott at No. 4 in the division in terms of signal-callers.
