2. TE Maxx Williams, Cardinals

With Zach Ertz being the clear cut starter of the team, alongside the Cardinals drafting arguably the best TE of the 2022 NFL Draft in the form of Trey McBride, we could see the team look to make some value out of an expiring contract in the form of Maxx Williams.

While the Giants TEs may not have played too poorly to start the season, they still desperately need the depth. Outside of rookie Daniel Bellinger, they don’t have many other solidified options.

Last season, we saw what Williams was capable of when given a high number of snaps. catching 16 passes for 193 yards and a TD throughout the first five games prior to going down with a torn ACL.

Despite not being a TE1 for any team, we believe Williams can provide a ton of value behind Bellinger, being used as more of a receiving threat than any of the other TE’s on the roster. Williams is cheap, too, as he is only on a one-year, $987,000 deal.

If the NY Giants really want to look to improve their TE room, we believe Williams is the guy to go with. He is a low risk, high reward type of player. As not only will it likely cost little-to-nothing to acquire him, but he also has pretty big potential to make an impact on the team.
