The NFL trade deadline is still a bit far out, with Nov. 1 circled on plenty of fans’ calendars. Leading up to that day, we’re going to see plenty of rumors and speculation brought up. Could things once again include New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney? Rumors and speculation indeed followed him this offseason, but the G-Men kept him in East Rutherford.
Now, though, there’s plenty of frustration for Toney, as he can’t seem to stay on the field. On top of that, he wasn’t used much in the Week 1 win over Tennessee and people are now waiting to see if he’ll even take the field this Sunday at MetLife Stadium going up against Baker Mayfield and the Carolina Panthers.
With so much uncertainty around Toney and his potential production for the Giants, the nice folks over in Green Bay are drooling at the idea of the former first-round pick heading to Lambeau Field to make plays for Aaron Rodgers. Could something actually go down here before Nov. 1 arrives?
A Kadarius Toney trade by the NY Giants doesn’t seem likely this year
As bad as some individuals in Green Bay may want Toney, the fact of the matter is that NY general manager Joe Schoen isn’t going to deal him this year… we don’t think.
When Schoen was previously asked about a potential Toney trade, he slammed those reports and rumors. Toney himself said the front office informed him he’s a big part of the future for this squad. Don’t tell that to the Green Bay faithful, though.

Packers supporters are desperate for some offensive help after the lackluster showing in Week 1. Rodgers clearly needs some help, and he’ll be getting that this weekend with the return of Allen Lazard from injury. The loss to the Minnesota Vikings showcased just how much AR12 misses Davante Adams.
However, that’s not a problem that the Giants have to worry about. Instead, they’re more focused on getting Toney back to 100 percent so he can make plays for Daniel Jones. The Packers very well could end up pulling off a wide receiver trade to help out Rodgers sooner than later, but we just don’t see Toney making a move to the NFC North.
3 under-the-radar NY Giants who can help power the team over the Panthers
Following the NY Giants upset victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1, the team is looking to have a repeat performance against the Carolina Panthers.
