2. Cor’Dale Flott

While Cor’Dale Flott did not have a spectacular game by any means, his effort was commendable. After being selected out of LSU in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Flott spent the majority of training camp receiving reps at slot corner, and only in two special teams plays during the Week 1 win at Tennessee.

With Aaron Robinson being forced to miss Sunday’s game after having his appendix removed, the Giants needed a new starter at the second cornerback position. Martindale opted for that player to be Flott. Flott, who was a very raw prospect, was forced to match up on an island with DJ Moore, one of the NFL’s most underrated receivers. While Moore did snag a touchdown, Flott held him to just three catches and 43 yards receiving.

For someone who has not played a lot of football, Flott was rather impressive in his first NFL start. Flott holding Moore to a mediocre afternoon was a key factor in the Giants win.
