2. CB Kevin King

We’ve broughten up the name of Kevin King before and for good reason. The former second-round pick of the Green Bay Packers is unsigned and hoping for another chance to make some plays for a team. King sure struggled early on in his career with the Packers, but he flashed plenty of potential as well.

If the Giants were to sign him, they’d be able to do so on a cheap deal for the rest of the campaign and bring in needed depth for the CBs room. This unit still has a long ways to go and they’re feeling the loss of James Bradberry. With that said, you’ve got to give credit to Adoree’ Jackson for being the leader for the cornerbacks. He’s been brilliant.

Another CB we liked was Joe Haden, but he just announced his retirement and signed a one-day contract with the Browns. We sure would have liked to see him in Big Blue, but King will do. Schoen knows just how important quality, veteran CBs are for a system being run by Wink Martindale. We’ll see if King gets a call/workout.
