4 NY Giants who have no excuses going up against the Dallas Cowboys
3. OL Jon Feliciano
Following a devastating leg injury to Nick Gates early into last season, it became clear that the NY Giants needed to sign a new center in case Gates wasn’t able to return. With that in mind the Giants decided to sign former Buffalo Bills guard Jon Feliciano to be the team’s new center. Thus far, it hasn’t really worked out.
Throughout the first two weeks of the season, Feliciano has posted a horrific 40.2 PFF player grade. Obviously PFF is not the be-all-end-all metric for determining how well a player has been performing. However, watching Feliciano play, it shows just how bad things have been.
There have certainly been some bright moments for the 30 year old, but there have been just too many moments of poor play to justify saying he has done a good job. If Feliciano wants a boost of confidence and the opportunity to win the fans back, he must play well against this somewhat weak Cowboys defensive line.
If he is unable to play well against the level of players he is facing this Monday, it could be a really long season at the center position. A strong showing could help Feliciano get some of his swag back.
