2. CB Darnay Holmes

Following a bounce-back Week 2 performance against the Panthers, it seems as if Darnay Holmes could be on the right track again. While he may not be the NY Giants CB2 this week with Aaron Robinson returning, Holmes can still make a big impact on the field if he can keep up his level of play.

Outside of Ceedee Lamb and Michael Gallup, the Cowboys receiving core is very week. It only gets worse when you consider that Cooper Rush will be throwing the ball this Monday. After an absolutely fantastic training camp and preseason, it seemed as if Holmes was set for a breakout year. While this has not been the case thus far, there is still plenty of time to improve and make room to be a staple of the NY Giants defense.

Throughout the first two games, Holmes has allowed six receptions on 12 targets for 63 yards and zero TDs. While this may not necessarily be bad, especially considering the majority of this is from the first game of the year, he must be better and more consistent.

To keep it simple, Holmes has a big opportunity to secure his spot as one of the better players on the NY Giants defense. If he is able to become more consistent, there is a good chance we finally see him step up into a big role for the remainder of the season. Be sure to keep an eye on him.
