3 Cowboys players who deserve ‘overrated’ on their jerseys vs. the NY Giants
1. RB Ezekiel Elliott
Upset about Kenny Golladay and his four-year, $72 million contract? Well, let us remind you that Dallas inked Ezekiel Elliott to a six-year, $90 million agreement. Yeah, we don’t have to tell you that was a major mistake. Elliott hasn’t even come close to living up to that deal. He’s not even the best RB in the division. That title belongs to Saquon Barkley.
Thus far this season, Elliott has rushed the ball 25 times for 105 yards. In the Week 2 win over the Bengals, Mr. Elliott carried the pigskin 15 times for 53 yards, an average of 3.53 yards per rush. That’s simply not going to cut it, especially when you’re being paid like Zeke is. People have been calling him out for years.
With the Giants defensive line ready to fest during Monday Night Football, they’ll look to keep Elliott in check from start to finish. Elliott is one of the most overrated players in the NFL and that’s going to be seen across the globe during Monday Night Football.
On the other side of things, we fully expect Barkley to shine brightly. He leads the NFL in rush yards after two weeks and that very well could be the case at this point next week as well. Barkley over Zeke any day of the week.
