1. Get Saquon Barkley the ball

After his monster performance to start the season, Saquon Barkley cooled off in Week 2. In the win vs. Carolina, Barkley rushed 21 times for just 72 and no touchdowns on the day. That might not seem like much compared to his 18 rushes for 164 yards in Week 1, but Barkley still found a way to be effective even with the offense struggling. Monday’s matchup with the Cowboys will be a good test for the Giants offensive line and Barkley.

Barkley’s 236 rushing yards through two weeks in just enough to keep him atop the league. The Colts Jonathan Taylor is close behind with 228. Each of the first halves in Week 1 and Week 2 started slow for the Giants and halftime adjustments seemed to make a difference. Look for Daboll to try and get Saquon going early vs. the Cowboys. Big Blue’s offense is more effective when Barkley is running the ball with power and elusiveness.

Monday night’s game will be the first division game of the season for both teams. Coach Daboll spoke about how the crowd fired up both him and the team vs the Panthers. The Giants announced that Monday’s game will be a white-out.

New York will be wearing their white color rush uniforms vs. the Cowboys and they’re asking home fans to wear white to the game as well. Sort of like a college team would do for a meaningful game, which is pretty awesome. Daboll is trying to usher in a new era of Giants football. He could certainly do that if the team starts the season 3-0 for the first time since 2009. It will be a big game for the Giants on Monday night.
