The NY Giants have had a very hot start this season, proving all of their haters wrong and winning their first two games in exciting fashion. While obviously these are team accomplishments, this would not have been possible without the performances of certain players.

It has not been a perfect start from the team despite their 2-0 start. However, some players on the team have played at a extremely high level and have no doubt helped propel the NY Giants to their undefeated start.

If things are to continue like this, these players are going to have to keep this level of play up, which we certainly think they are capable of. With that being said, here are five NY Giants standouts throughout the first two weeks of the 2022 season:

5. WR Sterling Shepard

Following a devastating Achilles tear during Week 14 of last season, it was unknown how good NY Giants veteran Sterling Shepard would be upon his return. Despite this, Shepard is looking better than ever with his hot start to the season.

Throughout the first two games, Shepard has caught eight passes for 105 yards and one TD. When you consider what Shepard means to this team and the fans, it becomes a much easier decision to make to include him on this list.

Shepard exploded onto the scene during the NY Giants Week 1 matchup against the Titans after he caught a 65-yard bomb from Daniel Jones and took it to the house.

While Shepard had a much more quiet performance in Week 2, it was still solid and likely would have been better if he had not getting held for DPI on a play in which he was wide open. He might still be running.

Regardless, it is so nice to see Shepard make a huge impact again, as NY Giants games are never the same to watch when he is not on the field. If he can remain healthy, we could potentially see Shepard’s best season in quite some time.
