2. CB Darnay Holmes

Following a tremendous preseason and training camp, it seemed as if the sky was the limit for Darnay Holmes. However, it all seemingly came crashing down after a horrific Week 1 performance in which he allowed four receptions on six targets for 53 yards while also getting called for a penalty late in game that nearly cost the Giants their victory.

Despite this, Holmes bounced back in a huge way last week against the Panthers, only allowing two receptions on six targets for 10 yards. This was also against a much better receiving core while also playing as the NY Giants CB2 due to Aaron Robinson missing the game.

If Holmes is able to step up and perform well for the second week in a row, it will not only do wonders for his confidence, but there is also a very good chance he can take back his spot as the CB2.

Regardless, Holmes will need to step up, especially considering the talented Cowboys receiving core that features CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup.

Holmes has the potential to be an X-factor on the NY Giants defense this week. Considering how much the rest of the defense will have its hands full, a big performance from Holmes could really secure his trust amongst the coaching staff.
