4 reasons the Giants can’t take the Cowboys lightly in Week 3

2. New York cannot get beaten by Cooper Rush in their house
At the end of the day, the Giants are favored to win this game. Dallas is missing Prescott, as mentioned before. Cooper Rush will be leading the Cowboys offense, but this doesn’t mean New York’s defense shouldn’t bring the same energy they’ve brought so far.
The long-awaited debut of Kayvon Thibodeaux will be in Week 3, and he will certainly bring energy. In addition, New York is also getting back Azeez Olujari for the game, and they have missed him. Last season he led the team in sacks, and they’ve struggled to sack the QB to start the season so far.
On the other hand though, receiver Michael Gallup will be making his season debut for Dallas. Although Rush is a backup, he will have weapons. The return of Gallup opens up more opportunities for CeeDee Lamb, Noah Brown, Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott.
The Giants have the tools to give the Cowboys offense fits. They just need to bring even more energy than they did the first two weeks, as everyone will be watching the defense during the primetime game.
