2. Kenny Golladay scores his first touchdown

Since last Sunday’s outing, wide receiver Kenny Golladay has been one of the most talked about players in the NFL. After being benched by head coach Brian Daboll, Golladay played in just three percent of the team’s snaps in Week 2. This led to him quickly leaving the stadium post game, and not speaking with reporters.

But since Sunday, both Golladay and Daboll have spoken to the media regarding the situation.  While Golladay is clearly upset about the decision, it may have litten a fire under the veteran receiver. It could even be what pushes him to finally reach the endzone. During his first season with the Giants in 2021, Golladay struggled. He recorded 37 receptions for 521 yards and zero touchdowns.

Golladay reaching the endzone on Monday night could be a sign of change for the receiver. His struggles have been apparent and the NFL as a whole has gotten the opportunity to watch. If he can show that he is still capable of being an elite pass-catching option, it wouldn’t only justify the contract that the Giants gave him, but it would also add another strong option to this offense.
