3. Will Fuller

At one point, Will Fuller was regarded as one of the most explosive wide receivers in the NFL. The former first-round pick was a big-play guy waiting to happen, and defenses were forced to anticipate that.

But even with the big-play capability that Fuller brings to the table, it has been a rare sight over the past few seasons. The speedy wide receiver has struggled to stay on the field, never playing a full season in his career.

When on the field, Fuller has been full of potential. Since being taken with the 21st pick in the 2016 NFL draft, he has appeared in 55 games, including 52 starts. He has recorded 213 receptions, going for 3,136 receiving yards and 24 total touchdowns.

During the 2021 season, Fuller signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. Both sides seemed to view the signing as a “prove-it” opportunity for Fuller who, leading up to that point, had missed 27 games in his career. But instead, it was just another year where he was unable to stay on the field. A thumb injury limited Fuller to just two games in which he recorded four receptions for 26 receiving yards.

Signing Fuller would be a gamble for the Giants front office. But if it were to pay off, he would be a strong pass-catching option for Jones. He could also help stretch the field. This would give Saquon Barkley even more opportunities out of the backfield. A pass-catching group that already consists of shifty players in Toney and Robinson could become even more fun with a healthy Fuller in the mix.
