1. Saquon Barkley is once again a full-on star
Heading into the regular season, many around the NFL seemed prepared to count out running back Saquon Barkley. The former No. 2 overall pick has had a rough stretch over the past couple of seasons. After losing nearly all of the 2020 season due to a torn ACL, expectations were sky high for Barkley heading into 2021.
But instead, the Giants RB1 was plagued by injuries once again. While he appeared in 13 games, he was nowhere near the level that he had been in the past. But that doesn’t seem to be the case in 2022.
Through the first three games, Barkley has once again looked like a star. He has rushed for 317 yards and two touchdowns on just 53 carries. Along with this, he is currently the league leader in rushing yards and is averaging six yards per attempt.

Barkley has also been a focal point through the air. He has recorded 13 receptions for 91 receiving yards on 15 targets. Having a star in their backfield could be what helps keep this Giants offense afloat. With Barkley’s future on the team still up in the air, this season that he is putting together could make it nearly impossible for the team to move on from him.
